Repair or rebuild — how do I know?
If the frame and the connection to the house are sound, most problems sit in the surface and railings and can be repaired. Where framing or the ledger has failed, rebuilding is usually the honest answer. We tell you which after we have seen it.
How is a deck estimate prepared?
From a site review and a written scope. Pricing reflects specified materials and defined work rather than a broad allowance, so figures can be compared like for like.
Does deck work need a permit?
It depends on the scope and on the township. What applies to the specific project is confirmed before work begins.
Can deck work be combined with other exterior work?
Frequently. The deck meets the roof line, siding and drainage at the same details, so coordinating those under one scope avoids gaps between trades.
